“How to adapt to climate change? » was the theme of the round table of our General Assembly which was held on February 10 at the Palais Beaumont in Pau.
In total, nearly 300 people took part in the event: member farmers, for the Statutory Part, joined by partners of the cooperative, employees and a few journalists for the public debate, in the middle of the morning.
The round table took place in two parts: Hervé le Treut, climatologist and member of the IPCC, first raised the challenges of global warming and insisted on the need for global and local action to respond to them.
Then, various speakers nourished the debate, bringing their respective expertise in water management, energy management and economic development: Aude Witten, Assistant General Manager of the Adour-Garonne Water Agency, Céline Vautrelle, Enedis Regional Director, Quentin Mathieu, Economics Manager of La Coopération Agricole and Laurent Dubain, Managing Director of the Agricultural Division of Euralis.
“We have to seize all the opportunities that present themselves to us and allow ourselves to provoke them” concluded Christophe Congues, President of Euralis.
